Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that uses dermal fillers to reshape and refine the nose. This treatment can refine contour, improve nasal symmetry and create a more proportionate appearance without the downtime associated with surgery.
Mr Paul Wilson has years of experience in non-surgical rhinoplasty and ensures natural-looking results tailored to each individual’s unique facial features. Choosing Paul Wilson Aesthetics for your facial aesthetic needs means receiving care from a trained specialist who will prioritise your comfort and satisfaction.
About
The nose plays a central role in facial symmetry, and even small irregularities can significantly influence overall appearance. Features such as a dorsal hump, a drooping nasal tip or a low or uneven bridge may develop due to genetics, previous injury or natural anatomical variation. These concerns can affect confidence and make individuals feel self-conscious.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty offers a minimally invasive alternative to traditional nose surgery. Using precise injections of dermal filler, the procedure can smooth bumps, lift the nasal tip, improve symmetry and refine the overall contour of the nose. This treatment is designed to enhance facial balance and provide natural-looking improvements without the downtime, scarring or recovery associated with surgical rhinoplasty.

What to expect
During your consultation, Mr Wilson and his team will ask questions to understand your concerns and aesthetic goals. They will also assess your facial structure and nose shape, review your medical history and discuss what can be achieved using dermal fillers.
Mr Wilson and his team will also explain the treatment approach in detail, outline what to expect during and after the procedure and answer any questions you may have. The consultation is meant to ensure that you feel fully informed before proceeding.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed in-clinic and does not require general anaesthesia or sedation. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to maximise comfort, and the procedure usually takes 30 to 45 minutes.
During treatment, dermal fillers (most commonly hyaluronic acid) are carefully injected into precise areas of the nose to achieve the desired result. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that attracts water, providing support and structure to the skin.
Through strategic placement, the filler can smooth bumps, lift the nasal tip, improve symmetry and create the illusion of a straighter or more symmetrical nose. The success of the treatment relies on expert assessment and technique. Mr Wilson and his team will meticulously evaluate the nose’s contours and overall facial proportions to determine the optimal injection sites.
Advanced techniques such as linear threading or micro-droplet placement allow for precise shaping, ensuring natural-looking and harmonious results. Patients may feel mild pressure during injections, but the procedure is generally well-tolerated.
Recovery
After treatment, it is normal to experience mild redness, swelling or tenderness at the injection sites. These effects are usually short-lived and typically resolve within one to two days. Most patients are able to resume normal activities immediately following their appointment.
Results are visible almost straight away, with the nose appearing more refined, symmetrical and proportionate. The final outcome becomes more apparent once any minor swelling has settled.
There is little to no downtime required with non-surgical rhinoplasty. Patients can return to work and daily activities immediately after treatment. However, it is generally advised to avoid excessive pressure on the nose, strenuous exercise or wearing heavy glasses for a short period of time.
Follow-up appointments may be scheduled to review results and ensure satisfaction. While non-surgical rhinoplasty delivers impressive results, the results are temporary. Depending on the type of dermal fillers used and individual metabolism, outcomes typically last 9 to 18 months. Many patients choose annual maintenance treatments to preserve their results.
Risks & complications
While non-surgical rhinoplasty is a minimally invasive treatment, it still carries some risks and potential complications. These may include:
Mr Wilson and his team will discuss all potential risks with you during your consultation to ensure you are fully informed before making any decisions.
The cost of non-surgical rhinoplasty in the UK varies depending on the type and amount of dermal filler used, the level of refinement required and individual anatomical considerations. These factors can influence the overall price of treatment.
Mr Wilson will provide you with a personalised quote during your consultation, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the costs involved before deciding whether to proceed.
FAQ
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is considered a safe procedure when performed by a skilled and qualified professional like Mr Wilson and his team. Using FDA-approved dermal fillers, the treatment is minimally invasive and avoids the risks associated with surgery.
The clinic follows strict safety protocols and performs a thorough consultation to ensure the treatment is suitable for you. By choosing a skilled professional, you minimise the risk of complications and can feel confident in achieving natural-looking, harmonious results.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty typically achieves noticeable results in a single session; however, some patients may choose to return for minor refinements, depending on their aesthetic goals. The effects of the treatment last approximately 9-18 months, and maintenance appointments are recommended to sustain results. Regular touch-ups help keep the nose looking refined and balanced, and each patient is worked with individually to create a personalised plan that suits their preferences and ensures long-term satisfaction with their appearance.
After non-surgical rhinoplasty, aftercare is minimal, making it a convenient option for many patients. Avoid touching or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 24 hours. Refrain from strenuous exercise, excessive heat and alcohol consumption for a day or two to minimise swelling.
Use gentle skincare products and avoid makeup around the nose during this time. Any mild swelling or redness should subside within a couple of days. You will be provided with detailed aftercare advice tailored to your needs, ensuring optimal results and a smooth recovery.
Mr Wilson uses high-quality hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers such as Juvederm for non-surgical rhinoplasty. Hyaluronic acid is a biocompatible substance found naturally in the body, making it safe and effective for facial enhancement. These fillers are chosen for their ability to provide precise volume and contouring, allowing for natural-looking results.
Additionally, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if necessary. Specific fillers are selected based on the treatment area and individual needs, ensuring optimal results and maintaining the nose’s natural proportions and harmony with the rest of the face.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is generally well-tolerated by patients and involves minimal discomfort. Before the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort while injections are administered. Some dermal fillers may also contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that further minimises discomfort. Patients may feel slight pressure or pinching during the treatment, but the procedure is quick and highly manageable.
Surgical and non-surgical rhinoplasty offer two very different approaches to enhancing the appearance of the nose. Surgical rhinoplasty involves reshaping the underlying bone and cartilage through an operative procedure, while non-surgical rhinoplasty uses dermal fillers to refine the nose’s shape without altering its internal structures.
Surgical rhinoplasty is suitable for patients who require structural changes, functional improvements or permanent results. Non-surgical rhinoplasty, on the other hand, is suitable for those seeking subtle enhancements or those who wish to avoid surgery.
Yes, if there are any minor imperfections or contour irregularities following a surgical rhinoplasty fillers can be used to optimise the surgical outcome. Usually, this is only required once or twice.

Gynaecomastia | Before & After
This procedure addresses excess fullness in the male chest caused by gland, fat, or a combination of both.
The aim is not simply to remove tissue, but to improve the overall chest shape for a balanced and natural appearance. As with any operation, success depends on choosing the right technique for the individual`s anatomy and careful surgical planning from the outset.
The initial result is just one stage of the process. Swelling gradually subsides, and the chest continues to refine as healing progresses.

A neck lift is designed to address laxity beneath the chin and along the jawline.
Some patients are less concerned with their face itself, and more with the way their neck has changed over time. Loss of definition, heavier tissue, or loose skin in this area can affect overall facial balance.
A neck lift focuses on restoring a more defined contour through careful surgical planning, with the aim of achieving a result that looks natural for the individual.
As with any procedure, suitability depends on anatomy, skin quality, and the changes being treated.

Augmentation Mastopexy | Before & After
Her primary concern was not size, but rather the degree of ptosis (drooping) and the altered shape of her breasts.
This distinction is important, as it fundamentally changes the surgical approach.
In this instance, the breasts required lifting and reshaping, not merely augmentation. We discussed achievable outcomes, the degree of support the existing tissues could provide, and the appropriate implant volume to achieve optimal results once the breasts were repositioned. The procedure combined a mastopexy with implants to address these issues concurrently, with the aim of creating a more balanced overall appearance.
These procedures require a meticulous approach. The patient`s initial anatomy, tissue quality, and the extent of lift required all influence the surgical plan.
The result shown here is the outcome of that process, although healing continues well beyond the initial stages.

Abdominoplasty | Before & After
The abdomen can be one of the most challenging areas to restore after the tissues have been stretched. Even in individuals who are otherwise fit and healthy, excess skin and reduced support can persist.
In a suitable patient, abdominoplasty can improve the abdomen`s shape by removing excess tissue and addressing the underlying support where necessary. The aim is not to create an artificial appearance, but to restore a contour that feels more proportionate to the rest of the body.
As with any surgery, healing is an integral part of the process. Swelling subsides over time, scars soften gradually, and the final result continues to improve.

INDIRECT LIP LIFT + TRANSNASAL ALAR CINCH — REVISION CASE ✨
Top: before. Bottom: after revision.
This patient presented after a previous lip procedure left him with an excessively long upper lip at 18mm, minimal vermillion show, and a wide alar base disrupting central facial harmony.
Post-revision: philtral length reduced to 12mm — a 6mm correction into ideal proportion (12–15mm is the youthful range for men) — paired with a refined, narrower nasal base.
Two procedures, one harmonious result:
🔸 Indirect Lip Lift (Subnasal Bullhorn) — precise excision of skin beneath the nose to shorten the upper lip, increase pink lip show, and restore the cupid’s bow. No filler.
🔸 Transnasal Alar Cinching Suture — a rhinoplasty technique specialised by Mr Wilson. A hidden suture passed through the nose draws the alae medially, narrowing flared nostrils with no visible external scarring — a major advantage over traditional alar base reduction.
Revision work demands exact measurements, respect for existing scar tissue, and meticulous management of altered tension vectors. There is no margin for over-correction.
The synergy is what creates harmony: a shorter lip without a refined base looks disproportionate; a narrowed base alone leaves the lower face heavy. Together — balanced, masculine, natural.

✨ Revision Rhinoplasty at Paul Wilson Aesthetics ✨
Precision. Expertise. Artistry.
Revision rhinoplasty is one of the most technically demanding procedures in facial plastic surgery — and it’s a cornerstone of our practice at Northwood Hospital. Patients travel to us from across the country because secondary nasal surgery requires a level of skill, planning, and experience that few surgeons offer.
Every revision case is unique. Scar tissue, altered anatomy, and previous structural changes mean there’s no room for a one-size-fits-all approach. We rebuild with care — restoring both function and the natural, balanced result patients hoped for the first time.

Welcome to Paul Wilson Aesthetics — where surgical precision meets artistry. Led by Mr Paul Wilson, our clinic specialises in advanced facial and aesthetic procedures designed to enhance your natural features and restore facial harmony. With years of expertise and a meticulous, patient-first approach, we’re proud to be a trusted name for those seeking refined, natural-looking results.
All surgical procedures are carried out at Northwood Hospital, Bristol 🏥 — a private hospital known for its exceptional standards of care, comfort, and clinical excellence.
One of our signature procedures? Hairline lowering surgery (foreheadplasty).
A high or elongated forehead can throw off the natural proportions of the face — and for many of our patients, it’s something they’ve felt self-conscious about for years. Hairline lowering brings the hairline forward in a single procedure, instantly restoring balance to the upper third of the face.
What it can do:
🌿 Reduce forehead height by up to 2.5cm in one procedure
🌿 Create softer, more feminine facial proportions
🌿 Frame the face beautifully
🌿 Deliver immediate, natural-looking results
Every journey at Paul Wilson Aesthetics begins with precise measurements and a personalised consultation — because no two faces are the same, and careful planning is what turns a good result into a stunning one.

Sometimes, the first signs of ageing appear around the eyes.
Excess skin or heaviness in the upper eyelids, or puffiness beneath the eyes, can make the face look more tired than it feels. Blepharoplasty is designed to address these changes with a careful, tailored approach to the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both.
The aim is not to change the eyes` appearance, but to restore a fresher, more open look while ensuring the result is natural and in harmony with the rest of the face.
As always, the most suitable surgical plan depends on the individual, their anatomy, and the underlying cause of their concerns.

Foreheadplasty | Before & After
This type of surgery is less about changing a feature and more about restoring balance.
Where the forehead feels too dominant, lowering the hairline can alter the proportions of the upper face in a meaningful way. The procedure, often referred to as forehead reduction or hairline lowering, advances the scalp to reduce forehead height, with the plan carefully tailored to the individual.
As always, what matters most is choosing the right operation for the right reason, then allowing time for healing and scar maturation afterwards.

Augmentation Mastopexy | Before & After
Over time, she felt her breasts had lost fullness, shape, and position. Her main concern was not simply size, but the way her breasts sat and the lack of support in the upper part of the breast.
We discussed the changes she had noticed and the type of result that would feel balanced for her figure. The plan was to restore upper fullness and improve breast position in a way that looked proportionate and in keeping with her frame. To achieve this, I combined a breast lift with implants, allowing both shape and volume to be addressed in the same operation.
Augmentation mastopexy is a procedure that requires precision and judgement. The tissues need to be managed carefully, and the surgical plan must be tailored to the individual anatomy, rather than following a standard formula.
The early result is only part of the process. The breasts will continue to settle, soften, and refine as they heal over time.

Abdominoplasty | Before & After
Changes to the abdomen can involve multiple concerns simultaneously. Excess skin, reduced abdominal wall support, and an altered overall contour can all affect how this area sits in relation to the rest of the body.
In this case, the aim of surgery was to improve the abdominal contour in a way that looked balanced and suited the individual. As always, this begins with a careful assessment, a clear plan, and an honest discussion about what surgery can realistically achieve.
Healing takes time. Swelling settles gradually, scars continue to mature, and the result refines over the following months.
