The many celebrity reasons for getting a nose job

It’s a common misconception that celebrities get nose jobs to improve their careers.

After all, there’s a certain expectation that you must be picture perfect to survive in Hollywood. However, many stars have openly admitted that this pressure isn’t what drove them to undergo plastic surgery. Instead, many have spoken about the personal reasons behind going under the knife – many of which you don’t have to be famous to relate to. With this in mind, here are just a few of the explanations the stars have given for having a nose job.

Confidence

Even though they walk the red carpet and pose for photographs, not everyone truly feels confident on the inside. Therefore, many have gone under the knife to try and improve their self-esteem. Ferne McCann definitely falls into this category. Before having her nose job, the television personality explained: “I’m not getting it done because I want to get closer to being beautiful. It’s not about that. It’s just something that I don’t like, and every day I look in the mirror, it knocks my confidence.”

Medical

Plastic surgery can eliminate a number of medical problems. In terms of nose jobs, it can help repair a deviated septum. This is why High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale opted to have a rhinoplasty. Speaking about the ailment, she once told People magazine: “The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose.”

‘Personal’

Whether you’re in the public eye or just an everyday citizen, you don’t always have to go into the specifics about your cosmetic surgery. This is what Real Housewives star Melissa Gorga did when quizzed about her nose job in 2016. She told the Daily Dish: “It’s not hurting anyone. It’s your own business. It’s something that’s personal to me. It’s one of the very few things that is personal in my life at this point.”
